The Stack Observer was recently in Orlando for the ManageEngine Users Conference and had the opportunity to speak with Mark Thiele, Senior Systems Administrator at ISCorp. As a ManageEngine partner he helps his customers navigate the products that ManageEngine provides to best fit their needs and budgets.
Mark is a proud U.S. Navy veteran who served two tours in the Arabian Gulf in support of Operation Desert Shield as an Operations Specialist Petty Officer Second Class (OS2 SW), holding the Surface Warfare designation. Specializing in radar operations and high-rate data networking across HF, RF, and satellite frequencies, Mark helped provide an in-theater tactical picture to U.S. leadership, supporting real-time operational awareness, mission planning, and decision-making.
During his military service, Mark served as a team leader and, at the time, was the only enlisted warfare commander in theater, working alongside an otherwise officer-led command structure. His Navy experience instilled a strong foundation of leadership, teamwork, accountability, and mission-focused problem solving—qualities that have continued throughout his professional career.
Following his military service, Mark built an accomplished IT career spanning more than two decades. His experience began with low-voltage cable delivery and installation supporting Milwaukee Public Schools and progressed through roles as a systems administrator, consultant, infrastructure specialist, and technical subject matter expert. Today, Mark serves as a Subject Matter Expert for the Site24x7 product as well as multiple remote-access solutions at ISCorp.
Mark is passionate about delivering exceptional service, reliability, and uptime for internal infrastructure resources. His focus on resilient systems and responsive technical support ultimately helps ensure reliable service availability and a positive experience for ISCorp’s external clients.
Outside of work, Mark serves as the Commander of his local American Legion Post in Wisconsin, where he supports fellow veterans and local veteran organizations. He is also an avid pheasant hunter and enjoys spending time in the field with his two dogs, Iris and Odin.
When he’s not working or volunteering, Mark enjoys traveling throughout the United States and around the world with his daughter and his girlfriend. Whether supporting veterans, solving complex technology challenges, enjoying the outdoors, or exploring somewhere new, Mark brings the same qualities to every endeavor: dedication, leadership, and service.
